Adjusting the display brightness

The Wave® radio/CD display automatically adjusts to the light conditions in the room. This feature improves visibility of the display. It brightens when there's lots of light, then dims so it's less intrusive when the room darkens. You can also fine-tune the brightness of the display—to compensate for a very bright window, for instance.

To adjust brightness:

on top of the wave® radio/cd, turn the system off by pressing the on/off button

press and hold the cd mode button

to turn the brightness down, tap the volume down button while holding cd mode

to turn the brightness up, tap the volume up button while holding cd mode

There are two settings that can be adjusted: a “bright” setting, and a “dim” setting. You must be in a bright room to adjust the bright setting (5-9), and you must be in a dim room to set the “dim” settings (1-5).

To turn the display on or off:

on top of the wave® radio/cd, turn the system off by pressing the on/off button

press and hold the cd mode button

tap the on/off button while holding the cd mode button to toggle display on and off
